As you probably guessed by the title im going to build my first PC. I spent months watching videos of Linus and other building and explaining how parts work etc.

My budget is 1800 USD (converted from DKK). Things are more expensive and might not be available here.

The computer will be used for 1080p gaming and multitasking, school work. It should also be future proof for a couple of years.

Anyways here is the part list:

Intel Core i7 4790k

Corsair H105

Asus Maximus VII Hero

HyperX Fury 1600MHz 8GB Black

Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming

Asus DVDWriter (I need it for some of my stuff)

Crucial MX100 256GB

Corsair RM650

Corsair 450D

As you see im going for a black theme on this build :)

Any answers are appreciated!

EDIT: Some of the parts weren't correct so im updating it now.

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866MHz

GPU: Asus Strix RTX 2060 OC

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero

Storage: 1TB, 500GB, 250GB SSD's, 1TB SSHD

Case: Corsair Carbide Air 540

Pretty solid build. Although, I would change that SSD for a Crucial MX100 since it's cheaper for the same capacity, and save some money.

This.

Also, if you don't need the i7 for things like streaming and whatknot (if you're trying to futureproof then ignore this), get a 4690K and a slightly better motherboard. Also, throw in a 1TB Seagate Barracuda if you don't already have some kind of mass storage.

pretty solid indeed. the cpu cooler h75 is good, but if you can stretch your budget for an h100i, then why not.

great choice of PSU, full modular will look awesome with that windowed-case.

edit : yes, get a GPU with a backplate! Asus Strix, Zotac Amp! or Extreme, Gigabyte G1

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr
