Individually braided cables

I want to get individually braided cables because they are SEXY.  I have a EVGA Supernova 650g PSU.  Just wondering if any individual cables would work for it (i.e. Corsair)

The corsair cables only work with Corsair PSU's this is because of the connector types on the psu side of the cable

Cables from one PSU family are meant for that PSU family only. Don't bother switching cables between different series of PSUs even from the same manufacturer (for example, Corsair's AX series cables aren't compatible with Corsair's HX series cables).

That's not exactly true, as Corsair is starting to standardized the pinouts / connectors for their modular system.

So based on what this rep had said, until it is stated otherwise, newer PSU from Corsair with modularity will used the Type 3 pinout, thus the cables will be compatible. So the Flextronic build AXi and the Channel Well Tech build HX will be compatible.

 

Regardless, the Corsair, Silverstone, etc cables will not work with EVGA PSUs. You either need to individually sleeved them yourself, resort to using extensions from Bitfenix, or buy the cable package directly from EVGA. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-CB-C123-B9

I guess you could buy corsair cables and change over the PSU side plug to the ones from your old cables? Given that the modules are configured in similar ways...
