T Unit959's Achievements

  1. I'll start off saying I am well aware of the whole bait and switch situation regarding this drive. However, this seems to be with a different version of the drive that shipped with certain firmware revisions. Anyways, two days ago on Black Friday (boxing day god I mix those up so much), I bought one of these drives on sale from Canada Computers who had them on sale for $60. I was in the middle of building an HTPC and saw them on sale, so I bought one. I got talking with a friend about the sale, where he mentions the scandal around this drive. I decided to do a test with CrystalDiskMark on the drive, but the results seems more in line with the reviews published when the drive first went on sale. For reference, this drive came with the firmware revision 580ABBF0, whereas the affected drives are shipped with 521A. My results are below and if there's any other tests I should run on the drive, let me know and I'll try them out. http://i.imgur.com/sMBZ17V.jpg?1 (If I can figure out spoilers I'll put the image in the text under that.) Mods, if this belongs somewhere else or if there's a thread already, show me the way and lock this please.
  2. If your'e using it for just streaming, the 16GB is enough. If you're using it for more than that, like emulation for disk-based systems or media, invest in a 32GB+ MicroSD card. You can get one for about $30 or less.
  3. As nice as this case looks, especially for a HTPC style, you'd have to sacrifice on your GPU since it looks like its only supporting half-height cards. I was heavily considering one of these for a HTPC build but my school gave me an old Lenovo slimline that I could throw a little GPU into if i need acceleration.
  4. It will if Dolphin ever supports the Wii U in the future.
  5. Had my Shine since January and it's easily the best keyboard I've ever owned. Upgraded from a K60 that I got on a really nice sale from NCIX.
  6. Could be possible that you're possibly drawing too much power from the wall with both PCs running in that same room. Is it only when both are on or does it happen with just yours? From what I'm reading on your last post, you have two PCs running in the same room, correct?
  7. MSI is putting 3K displays on some of thier newer models later this year.
  8. What about the legality and licensing with this? IIRC, Apple states somewhere in the EULA that you can't install thier software on anything that isn't an Apple product. Is there a loophole in here that allows this?
  9. Don't quite remember exactly but I have everything that my friend got when he bought it like a week after release.
  10. You do. I bought it during the promo in February and I got the battle packs within like 2 days.
  11. Nothing because the last thing I need the week of exams is more games to play.
  12. If your friends don't own Titanfall, then you'd be in a boat all by yourself. On the other hand, your freinds have BF4 already, so you can play with all of them on the newest maps. Hell Naval Strike alone is worth getting it for, especially if you like Parcel Storm or any other of the boat maps. I have both, but Titanfall started to get a biiiiiiit boring, but I blamed that on the lack of having people who also owned the game to play with.
  13. I ordered one last Friday from NCIX when they had them in stock and it still hasn't shipped.
