$350 Intel gaming machine.

ThatSweetGamer

So another buddy needs help with their build. My friend is on an extremely tight budget and wants a $350 Intel "gaming" machine. He'll be playing minecraft, so nothing too special. He doesn't need a mouse, keyboard or monitor but he does need Windows. This is what I got so far but I'm $100 over so help would be nice http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FZZhBm . And thanks in advanced. Oh, and also he will not do mail in rebates so keep that in mind.

Cheapest z97 motherboard. So I can overclock without having to flash the BIOS.

Why that expensive motherboard?

It's literally $10 more than the cheapest H97 board.

If he's going to get Windows while within a $350 budget while staying on Intel, he's got to get it through some other means.

If your friend is only playing Minecraft, he can do it on Linux and not have to pay $100 for Windows.

Or if you want the Z97 board so you don't have the 1.2V vcore limit, add your suggested Z97 board and he's $12 over budget (since $5 of this price is mail in rebates)

I would grab the pentium build and OC it like crazy. You don't need a z97 board for a pentium. It can go up to 4 ghz with the stock cooler while staying around 70 c, I believe.

I'd rather put a r7 260x or 250, the 240 is isn't gonna cut it.
