This command will shut down your Windows PC (Vista and forward) immediately (skipping any pending updates going down).
 

%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 01

Replace the -s with -r for a reboot.

This command will shut down your Windows PC (Vista and forward) immediately (skipping any pending updates going down).

I use that all the freaking time! Best to add it to a text file and name it shutdown.cmd, leave it on the desktop and double click it and shutdown city no clicking menu's or other BS (best in Window 8).

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

If you want to full shutdown in Windows 8, do this

 

shutdown /s /t 0
