^ This is what I'm sending him as a first build, what do you think?

He wants to do surround gaming with 3 monitors, he builds racing sims. 1440p or 4K is what he wants.

He also does some editing and stuff, I know this is extremely overkill but that is what he wants.

Thanks

Forgot to add that I'm putting in the kraken x61

1) I don't believe you

2) If this is true, don't bother. If you have to ask on a forum, 10k is too much of a responsibility for you.

Let a shop build it and have proper warranty.

I'd possibly buy 2 x 480GB SSDs and Raid 0 them to get a proper read/write speed boost.

My Rig!

He is choosing those, probably three 4K monitors. He will run them at 1440p he says and then eventually run at 4K when it's possible to do triple 4k gaming.

1) If I remember I'll post picks

2) There is no problem with asking the Linus forum for tech tips, that's the point of the forum, I'm making sure that this is all good.

If I knew my buddy needs to verify things on a forum I wouldn't trust him with my 10k for a pc.

It's not a workstation, it's primarily gaming.

Ok, still, this is a much better board. ;)

Just buy 3 x 1440p 27" ROG Monitors from the off if you have $10K budget. You won't be doing 4K triple monitor gaming for some time yet as cards are nowhere near powerful enough for that.

And don't get a 5960X if it is just for gaming. It is a massive waste of money. Just go for an i7 4790K if you want a strong cpu.
