H110 vs. X61
Money is not an issue here
I contacted Corsair about this, I have two options - either to send the whole cooler and they will send me a new one, plus I have to pay shipment, which is around 25-30€ and I will be without a cooler for the whole duration of the RMA.... or I can order an express RMA, they will firstly send me a new cooler, but will need my credit card number and will withdraw the cost for it as insurance, and I will then within 10 days return the defective cooler, still at my expenses. Kinda strange also, that they sell backplates for almost all AIO coolers on their site, but not the H110 and I have to go through this
How about you buy the X61 to have a brand new and updated cooler design (with no PC downtime
) then RMA the H110 (not express RMA) so that when you get the new one you can then sell it for part of the original cost.
This way you take advantage of the RMA, you get to keep your PC running without having it down for days, and you get some of the money you spend on the X61 back by selling the H110 ![]()
