SLI bridge problems

Hello, me again (last time i swear). My video cards (2x MSI GTX 970s) just came in. I was told the motherboard (MSI z97s sli krait) or the cards would come with an sli bridge but it does not appear to be the case. Ive been told i may not need them and that my mb would do bridgeless sli. Dont know if i believe this because ive recieved a lot of conflicting info on the subject. Is this true or do i need to buy a bridge?

You need to by a Bridge. Nvidia cards don't do Bridgeless SLI

You cannot do bridgeless SLI. It doesn't work that way.

Nvidia still needs an SLI bridge

No, the only cards that run without a bridge are R9 290/290X's and I believe R9 285s. Everything else needs a bridge

Just buy an evga pro bridge, I assume money isn't an issue with buying 970(s).

Main RIg Lian Li O11 MINI, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz 

 

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz
