Doesn't necessarily mean that they are North Korean. Group could always just take advantage of the terrible speculation that it is them. Though, I'm not really a big fan of the story of The Interview anyway. Seems like ways of making North Korea seem so evil. I'm even sad that the popular American news didn't mention Putin's speech (though it is pretty much calling shots out to USA anyway).

You know, if North Korea thinks that the movie is an assassination plan, wouldn't it make more sense to allow the movie to release, watch it, and use it to make a counter-plan?

I still say Sony have no one to blame but themselves if you knowingly have shitty security and do nothing to fix it you're pretty much just asking for trouble. So every time this comes up I just laugh at Sony I hope they lose a bucket load of potential earnings.

Thing is they had woefully poor security and exceptionally bad security practices and they knew it. Just as they knew PSN wasn't secure long before it was hacked and costumer credit card details were stolen, they decided to do nothing about it until someone forced their hand. 

So they really have no right to complain and deserve everything they get IMO. I don't support groups of wankers such as GOP but I do think Sony needed to learn a valuable lesson for the second time in recent years and the more harm these fools inflict the better Sony and other large companies will learn that lesson.

Wait wait wait... so... they're threatening Sony because of this movie... yet... didn't they like release it onto the internet for free? Like "we demand you pull this movie that now everyone has seen anyway because we're STUPID"? I hope i'm getting the situation wrong...
