Hi guys, any users of this monitor(BenQ GL2450)? I'm attracted to its large screen size and affordable price for me to get it. However, before I really make the purchase I would like to see and hear any drawbacks for this monitor and some other concerns to purchase it.

1. Does it provide great brightness?

2. How much different between TN and IPS panels monitors? ( I don't really know besides the display colours)

Thanks in advance. In short, is it worth to purchase this monitor for casual and gaming use? I often play Dota2.

I have the 2460, which is a tad bit more expensive and on some things a little better.

The 2450 has a better refresh rate, but anyways.

I heard the 2450 was pretty good, but the contrast is a little much. I have this with my monitor too

It's not that great. It's a 1080 tn panel monitor. I don't know how cheap it is over there but I just bough a 1080 ips panel monitor for about 30% less than that.

I'm fairly sure I've used one of those, and I don't remember it being horrible. But assuming I'm right with the pricing on it, something like the BenQ RL2455HM would probably be a better buy, it's great for Dota 2.

As far as the IPS vs. TN debate goes, I've this to say.

IPS monitors have more accurate colours, however generally speaking are more inclined to have input delay (the extent to which you notice varies person to person), more inclined to suffer from ghosting and can sometimes suffer from backlight bleeding.

TN panels have worse colour reproduction, but are capable of higher refresh rates (If you've the cash to spend), and are much faster than IPS monitors
