OK GUYS, I'm like super confused. So I just finished all the updates and stuff needed for my new build. I decided to install my most played game (LoL) and try it out. Here's the confusing part:

On my old rig (specs in description) I was using my GTX 970 for the past month or two. I didn't notice any PICTURE difference between that and my GTX 580 really, just better FPS.

Now, upon loading up League of Legends on my new PC with the same 970 (keep in mind I have literally played thousands of League games since I started), it looked nothing like any League game I have seen before. I'm using the same GPU and same DP cable that I was using in my old rig. Not only was it much smoother, but the picture also looked different as well, in a good way.

Anyways I am just confused upon the picture. I am using the same monitor/cable/GPU as I was on my old rig, and in the same resolution. However it looks SOOOO much different.

Better FPS or something is one thing, but the picture? Why would it change so much? Any ideas as to why?

game settings?

I had my game settings maxed out on my old rig. It's League so it doesn't really require much.

SR got a redo. Less harsh textures.

Lol dude I'm not talking about the rework. I'm well aware of that. I'm talking about like since a couple days ago when I was playing League on my old PC on that same update.

The map rework maybe?

I'm talking about a drastic, drastic difference from playing on my old PC with the same card/cord/monitor from like 2 days ago. Not the map rework.

Nope this is crazy lol, also I have my settings maxed on both PCs.

May be DSR (4k resampled to 1080p) is at work here?

Interesting theory, everyone else here seems to think I'm oblivious to the new map & changes lol.

I haven't messed with any settings on my GPU. I simply installed the latest drivers and started up LoL. I'll have to check it out.

LoL is a game that supports both Dx9 and Dx11 I believe, so my guess is you've been using the Dx9 client somehow, or not had Dx11 properly installed until now (which could have happened automatically as part of installing a different game)

Wild theory but the only thing I can think of, short of supernatural Voodoo (FX)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
