GPU acting weird

Go to solution Solved by Profquast,

Exactly what I thought about the temps.

The problem is that I'm playing wow without the vsync and still acts weird. And you're not able to take vsync off thecrew.

you could try this and reinstall your drivers, I've had some luck with that not too long ago.

So I'm having some problems with my GPU which goes down to 30 FPS at some points for 5-10 seconds. How do I fix it? I believe it's something with my GPU temp to do with it. It's atm at 70C and I want to disable the action it does when it decreases in power to make it cooler. How do I do it? I'm sorry for my horribly bad english, haha.

Sounds like it could be thermal throttling.

1. What gpu are you using?

2. What games does this happen in?

3. What is your cpu?

4. What is your cpu usage in these games?

5. What are your cpu temps in these games?

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I got vsync enabled to 60 fps. I'm playing the crew. I got an Asus 780 running at 70-71C atm. I got a 4790k@4.5 and my CPU temps are 55-60. It happens in wow and the crew and arma. The more "demanding" games.

I got 3 Corsair 140mm AF fans. 2 in front, 1 rear.

I don't think it's vsync being vsync unless it dips to 30 FPS from time to time, and back up to 60fps stable.

This actually sounds like vsync being vsync? Is it enabled?

What GPU is it?  Which game(s)?  Airflow in your case?

70 degrees is a perfectly fine temperature, nothing to worry about. Try playing without vsync and see if the problem persists.
