Hyperion is designed to fit a micro-ATX motherboard in a tiny cube case but yet offers great cooling features such as support for 2 240mm radiators and support for a tall CPU cooler.

It will be made of mostly white acrylic but also some tasteful frosted and red accents that will (Hopefully) go great with it's minimalistic design.

Here's a render of the front of the case.

The case will have a window covering the entire right side of the case

As this is a cube case i thaught it would be appropriate to use a two-chamber layout with the PSU in a separate compartment, this also offers great cable managment and drive mounting.

Is this a rip-off of Hyperion from Borderlands?

Looks like the Corsair Air 540 but with rounded edges.

I would recommend having the bottom as in take and the top as exhaust. As hot air rises, you can take advantage of this while maintaining a clean front design.

Maybe add some noise danpening foam?

Wouldn't it be incredibly weak if made out of mostly acrylic?

Acrylic is pretty tough, Id stand on a square meter of 5mm acrylic plate without problems.

I have one update right away!

Just got done with the plate wich the motherboard sits on, it's going to be made out of frosted acrylic because I can make some cool lighting effects if it's frosted.

I just sanded it with 240 grit and the 400 grit sandpaper to make the frosted look,

Depends on how thick the acrylic is.

The Parvum Systems s1.0 for example is a chassis completely made out of thick acrylic panels, and not weak at all.

yep, that cube case and the parvum S.2 are some of my inspiration for this. :)

Nope, i'm not a huge fan of the Borderlands series, so i have no idea what you are speaking of :)

The 6mm acrylic is really tough, couldn't even bend it so it'll hold easily, with thick radiators and similar too.

The acrylic is 6mm thick so it's really rigid :)

As for the small scratches in the acrylic, they will be gone in the final result, i'll be picking up a bit finer sandpaper the next time i'm in town.

Heeeeey i just learned what multiQuote means! LOL

What was the inspiration of the name then? If you wish to tell.

Need some advice here, should I use this glass frosting spray on top of thew sanded area? I want the acrylic to be as frosted as possible since it'll be hiding all the cables when lit up, will it work on acrylic. I know it's in Swedish but it just says: Hobbyfärg=Hobbypaint Frostat glas=Frosted glass.

Just had this laying around, thaught I'd give it a shot?
