so the RAM I have in my PC is some Kingston Genesis RAM (2x4GB, CL 11, 1600Mhz) I bought in 2013, which Kingston no longer makes said RAM anymore, and I'd like to upgrade to 16 GB without having the 8GBs I have now go to waste, so I was wondering, if I bought the newer Kingston Fury 2x4GB, CL10, 1600Mhz kit, would I (potentially) run into problems? I game, and stream. I have no problem with the CL10 having to run at CL 11 if it must, just wondering if it could cause instabilities or anything?

Chances are very minimal that errors will occur; as long as your motherboard supports that much ram you should be good to go :)

As long as you aren't mixing voltages you should be fine. Yet it would be best to find memory with the same latency.

Is there an easy way to check what the voltage is on my RAM?
