What Is Star Citizen

So ive searched on google but really I couldnt find out what you do in Star Citizen. So im kinda interested in what it is. Please tell me the point and what you do in the game.

It's a space simulator and MMO that's currently still being developed (to be released late next year, I think?). 

 

At the moment, all you can really do is walk around a hangar or engage in small dogfights with only a few small ships. When the game is completed and released, it will be an entire universe with tons of planets to explore and plenty of things to do.

It's not a game, it's a piece of software designed to take money from wallet while giving you little in return. It's similar to candy crush.

read the stretch goals you will be more and more impressed as you read. try not to listen to the people calling it a money pit. its experienced some delays but so does literally every software title ever. 

Its going to be amazing and they are making good headway right now

I think this answers most questions, star citizen is a old school space sim very much like Chris Roberts Wing Commander however it has a full psychics engine so you fly ships that are realistic to how they would fly in real life.

What you do is up to you, you can me a miner, do military service, work for an organisation, be a pirate, the universe is created for the player and it will react to it, go rob a bank? Full live video feed will be on the news, go piss off the Vanduul and they will react back.

Its a hell of a lot of things... I remember when I first started looking into it, it took me the better part of a month to really grasp all the details of what was going into it and they continue to release more and more details.
