What are you doing with this rig? gaming? gaming and editing? what?

And what is your budget?

Why are you getting socket 2011?

2011 and 1 780 isnt exactly balanced both price and performance.

GET A GOOD PSU, and 1300w is WAY more than you need. 750w would be more than you need.

No ssd?

Might want to look at a different case, reviews arent that good.

Why do you think you need a 3930K, do you do viedo edititing or other tasks than gaming which require more from the CPU. If you are only doing gaming save yourself some money and buy a 4770K and a Z87 motherboard otherwise it looks pretty cool

I like your style. One thing. Sure you dont wanna custom loop and maybe a fancy reservoir inside? Maybe... FrozenQ T-Virus :D ?

Also, with high end PCs, i think high end sound is appropriate. Alltho the asus mobos have sufficient onboard sound, it would be sensible to get high end sound card, like asus xonar essence and some high quality audiophile studio headphones or surround system.

Updated some stuff.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/16HE9

K last time im going to say this, GET A GOOD PSU! Rosewill PSUs arent good get silverstone,or antec you at MOST would need 1000w look at my build, I have 2GPUs haswell 2 hdds a SSD, and i only have a 1000w. and for gaming, 2011 is a HUGE waste it isnt the best it is the biggest waste. and i also have a custom loop. so you do not need 1300w and a 1300w crap PSU will kill ALL your parts, anything pluged in will die if it fails and crap PSUs are prone to fail.

Again, what is your budget? we can build a balanced machine for you if you give tell us your budget.

That CPU won't benefit you at all, waste of money, it's workstation CPU. Not a gaming CPU. A 4770K will be a much better choice.

And as many have said, get a good brand PSU.

Go with the Samsung Pro Basic Series 128GB SSD instead, better Write speeds, 390MB/s instead of 130MB/s.

Okay, well Not 2011, get like 3770k or 4770k unless you are hard core editing there is no need for 2011. and the PSU wasnt switched when i looked :D.

And i was saying I have a custom loop and it was using less power than 1300w i was making a point to get less watts

Changed some stuff. What is a high end cpu cooler?

The H100 is a high end CPU cooler without building a custom loop.

And you could still save like 50 bucks on the RAM, 1866MHz won't give you anything extra compared to 1600MHz RAM. Use those 50 bucks on a bigger HDD or a better 1TB like a black drive maybe business grade drive.

Is it just me who think that the mobo is really overkill?

Dont get the velociraptor, just partition off some of the SSD for caching and you will be fine, it wont be slow.

Upgraded storage, added a sound card because i listen to a lot of music and needed to meet my budget and upgraded my optical drive. Still look good?

Your link isn't working. You won't need a sound card unless your sound system is already quite beefy. What kind if sound system are you running?

Why do you need an i7? As far as I understand, you're only gaming. An i5 will do the same job just as well. You won't need more than 8gigs for gaming.

Here's what I would recommend considering all the links break your budget: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/19bQX

I do recommend going with the 3570k instead. You probably don't need an i7.

20 us dollars over is fine for me. I will be using a sub and 2 tweeters/ Seinheiers. I'm in middle school and just the price should tell you that i will be using it for more than gaming, i usually like to run lots of programs at once so that's why i'm getting 16 gigs.
