Yesterday I received my XFX 295x2 in the mail; set everything up and I was pretty stoked about it.  First off, had some nasty driver issues, 14.9 kept freezing the PC; so I swapped did a clean removal and reinstalled to the new beta drivers.  Everything seemed fine until I did some game testing and benchmarking.  Everything seems a bit lack luster.  Dragon Age Inquisition @1080p Ultra preset would only get me around 30-50fps.  Metro: Last Light was around the same, averaging around 49fps.  Did some 3dmark benchmarking and it seemed underwhelming getting scores similar to my 770s in SLI.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Heres my current config:

Intel 4770k OC 4.6Ghz

Asus Z87 pro motherboard

Raidmax 1000ae 1000watt PSU

16GB Kingston ram @ 1600DDR3

XFX Core Edition R9-295X-8QFA

If any other specs are needed let me know, would post more but on bit of a time limit currently.  Thanks.

How's it perform when the OC is set back to stock?

Also how are temps?

Realistically going from dual 770s to the 295X2 isn't that much of an upgrade using only a 1080p display, so scores and fps around the same make sense, also Metro last light is a "Way Its Meant To Be Played" title, so it will cater towards Nvidia cards anyway. Dragon Age Inquisition is still very new as well so multi-gpu scaling hasn't been super well optimized yet.

Specs: Corsair 900D Chassis, Asus Sabertooth X99, Intel i7 5820k @ 4.2ghz, 32GB Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz DDR4, MSI RTX 2080 Sea Hawk EK-X, Corsair HX1000iW PSU, WD Black SN750 500GB NVME (Boot), WD 1TB NVME (Games), WD Red 4TB HDD (General Storage).

Watercooling: D5 Pump (EK Top), 2X 480MM Swiftech Rads, Apogee HD CPU Block.

Peripherals: Razer Blackwidow Chroma Keyboard, Razer Mamba-T Edition Mouse, Corsair Viod Pro Headset, BenQ XL2420T 120Hz Monitor.

I don't even have an option for crossfire,

So this is the standout obviously...

It either should be there somewhere, or...something is wrong.

Reinstall drivers a second time. (Seen a similar issue for Crossfire not being enabled/shown, and on this forum, this advice of reinstalling catalyst drivers worked)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Thats the thing, to my knowledge the 295x2 doesn't need to have crossfire enabled; supposedly it just runs the other GPU behind the scenes.  I've used MSI afterburner and I can confirm that the other gpu is running.  The whole driver debacle was absolutely insane, 14.9 caused the whole computer to freeze on start up; had to be booted in safe mode and removed.  Right now I've just decided to run on 14.4 until they release something stable.  TBH based on all the hassle I've had with this I might return the card if this keeps up and just opt for 2 970s or 980s.
