budget 1150 motherboard with SLI support

I'm looking for a mobo on the budget side of things, I'm looking at a I5-4690k with GTX 760 in 2 way SLI.

I've been looking around at mobo's and was looking at the B85 Killer but it seems to only support Crossfire?

 

I'm looking for one at around $100 (£65).

You'd be better off selling your 760 and getting something like a single R9 290 or GTX970 instead.

I suggest you sell it and get an r9 290/x or gtx 970 instead. As for the mobo, a h97 or b85 gamer would be good

Is there any benchmarks with the 760 sli vs a single 970?/r9 290? I'm able to get a second 760 at almost half price so that's why I was aiming at it.

A single 290 or 970 will be better than SLI 760s....the performance will be relatively similar, but one has twice as much VRAM (something which is becoming more and more important in modern games) and single card configs are always the better choice. 

 

Plus getting a motherboard which supports SLI and a psu capable of driving two GPUs has to be considered.

If your're able to get a 760 for $100,  then go for it, it will be much less expensive and much easier (its pretty hard to sell computer parts) than selling your card and buying a new one

Thanks, as much as I would like to go for a 970/290 I'm saving almost $100~ in total by doing dual 760's.

 

Partpicker also recommended the z97 G55 for the 760 SLI along with a EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+B which support the 2 8 pin connectors the 760's require.
