Intel cpu price range would go nuts. We need AMD to stay alive and produce CPU's. If not, intel gets their monopoly and prices will go up since they are the only company producing CPU's

Like i said... Monopoly... If they're the only ones who make CPU's (or highest end ones) on the market, they basically can jack up the prices however much they want, and nobody (except the government) can stop them, and they just stick a few briefcases with a few hundred thousands of dollars/euros/rubles... under their noses, and they just stop caring!

Basically what i said... If they were the only ones that made good CPU's (i5/i7...) on the market, they could get however much they wanted...

 

Of course, if there was some kind of low end CPU maker, that would change things... for the worse... Game devs would have to stop making games with very high system req. and that would slow the evolution of gaming, graphics, technology.... SOOO MUCH....
