Hackintosh: Will it Work?

My parents are faithful followers of Mac OSX, but do not like the limited options presented by Apple, so they called on me. I have some experience with building computers on Windows, but have never tried a Hackintosh. I did some research and came up with this list. Note, my parents are not doing any sort of gaming or hardcore video editing, but are willing to spend a total of $1200 (with everything ordered through Amazon). If anyone else has ever built a Hackintosh, help would be greatly appreciated.

Little to no point in getting a locked i5 sandybridge with an after market cooler (IMHO)

 

I'm not to sure with compatibility with OSX (it's really damn picky) but the parts will all work together at least. I don't think you need the GPU if its for parents who don't do gaming/video editing, rather go for more storage / ram.

For your parents i would not do a hackintosh if u want to update the os just regular updates that apple puts out its not just one click and your done usually you will lose your audio or just something will happen and u will spend awhile figuring out how to fix it hackintosh isnt for beginners or people who no nothing about computers your better of just getting an imac and not worrying about if the next update will completely screw your computer.
