Hey guys,

I just bought parts for a gaming rig, except I'm still waiting on my GPUs to come back into stock and I'm on the fence about the power supply I'm using. I'm going with SLI GTX 970s, and my research on the internet tells me a 750W PSU will be absolutely fine for my build, but I'd just like to check with you all to make sure.

I'm looking to get the SeaSonic SS-750KM3.

Here's the link to my build for specifics:

Thanks all. :)

EDIT: Shoot. I put a typo in the title.  I meant fit*. Is there any way to fix that?

You could go with the PSU that @mr.skyrim_pc mentioned, but SeaSonic makes good stuff a lot of the time. Might I ask why you're going for dual 970s over one 980? It will be an awesome PC either way, but I was just wondering. And 750 watts is plenty for either GPU setup.

Because dual 970s barely costs more then one 980 yet provides a lot more performance

You pretty much said it! :D

General consensus on numerous forums seem to agree with that, so I went that route.

Well duh, But still SLi issues like everyone always mentions. Either way. Not here to start a flame war. Shouldn't have asked.

Well I wasn't starting to start a flame war either... so idk where you're getting that from. Chances are if a game doesn't support SLI, it will run perfectly fine off one of the 970s.

I would get the evga g2 750w instead. :)

That one you picked out is alright though.

Is this the EVGA G2 you're talking about? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Why is it so much cheaper?

Because SeaSonic is life and you shouldn't question it.

Ssshshhhh.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Ahaha. But is that PSU that I posted a link to above as reliable/quality as the SS-750KM3 I may be getting? If so then I'd be stupid to buy something nearly double the price.

Well the Supernova G2 is superb if you want it. I wouldn't second guess buying it if I were you spending money.

But SeaSonic is a great PSU manufacturer and you can never go wrong with one. The G2 will be fine though.

Superflower (Who make the EVGA) are also a great manufacturer. They are as good as Seasonic.
