i have two system builds - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/speedysnail/saved/2zvscf

                                           http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/speedysnail/saved/JqZqqs

i know the first one will be better for video editing ect. and the second gaming (which i intend to use this for) but is it worth getting an i7 and 16gb of ram now and a new gpu in the future because that would be an easier upgrade rather than getting the cpu out but is it justifiable. also will getting an i5 reduce/hinder the performance the the massively powerful 980.

thanks

For gaming no not at all. The i5 is more than enough for gaming. I recommend the upgrading the GPU later because the i7 should last AT LEAST the next 5 years, and you should wait till AMD announces there cards to see the competition. Maybe new cards from nVidia too! :)

Fedex Ground must be on Horse back, It took 7 days to go 200 miles

but im a corsair fanboy so stfu

Really not nice and why are you a corsair fanboy that just is astonishing to me well have it your way but why buy a expensive component that isn't that great even if you are a fanboy. EVGA G2 750W much better and there are others that make better PSU's at that wattage for a better price. Just weird and you could have said I liked corsair more so I am gonna do this instead of the annoying stfu.

sorry if i pissed u off

Nah just saying that not everyone gets these jokes and it is better to not do it. I don't know how expensive a GTX970 vs a GTX980 is but maybe it is better to go one 970, especially when you are buying a 1080P monitor then a 980 is just overkill. Either go for a 1440P res monitor with a 120-144 hz refresh rate or get a 970 as you are not gonna need the 980 on a 1080p monitor.
