win7 taskbar "folders"

Go to solution Solved by WiiManic,

Think I used this at one point, but can't remember what it was like....

But sounds like what you are talking about.

Only other way I could think of is swapping to an OSX style dock instead of a taskbar, I know that most docks have the exact same folder popup thing as OSX.

So a couple things;

1: I like a clean desktop. Just looks good. So don't suggest I just make desktop Icons.

2: I'm pretty hard headed :P

So my taskbar is full, and I was wondering if there were a way to do something kind of specific.

I know you can create folders in the taskbar, and I basically want that, so I can have like a game folder, a couple different program folders, entertainment folder, ect.

And when you click on one, it opens, and once you click on a program (shortcut), the folder will automatically disappear and the program starts. (almost like IOS)

Some would argue it is the cutest little signature ever.

I dont know what OSX has, Ive just seen how the Iphone has the folders, where you can click it, it opens the folder, and then click the program icon and the program starts and the folder closes.

Not an apple user, so I know very little about it.

though I will look into the link!

thank you, I will also look into this link!

you can pin folders to the explorer icon on your taskbar.

just create a shortcut and drag and drop it onto the icon.

I don't think you understood my question at all. But thanks for trying to help.

I think you are looking at something like this http://www.1upindustries.com/bins/

Its only a $5 purchase and worth it.

Should be good, I will marked as solved if one of those two links works out well for me. otherwise, more programs like those seems to be what I am looking for.

Oh, try googling "Windows 7 Bins" and should be the first link. LTT is messing up the link somehow.

7 stacks is working, and what I was hoping for! turned my taskbar that used to have 58 icons pinned (+whatever wasn't pinned that was running) to only 12 pinned programs!
