Hi there,

So i've just built a PC (http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/JTFkzy). It's a basic media/browsing PC.

This is what i want to do (see floor plan below):

  • Have the PC in one room ( office) and have a TV in the other room (lounge#1).

  •  Be able to use the PC in the office, and then switch to using the PC via the tv in the living room (with something like XMBC or WMC) with a keyboard and mouse in the lounge
  • Connect the tv in (lounge #1) to PS4 (#lounge 2)
  • be able to control these pcs from "Gaming PC:

A method to achieve this is beyond me, i don't want to spend too much on this, but it would be useful.

Floor plan (excuse my paint skills)

Something like this? (i'm not going to spend 300 on that cable (

Thanks in advance

Wireless keyboard and mouse? There are shorter usb cables that could be enough for you.

10m for example.

Yes. HDMI cable up to 10m is not that expensive, above that it gets pretty crazy.

That's what i'm worried about, because i'm going to need a cablle that'll be a lot longer than 10 metres, times 2 (one for the ps4), same with the USB hub.

This is the problem :)

Maybe using displayport with a seperate audio cable would be cheaper.

As for thunderbolt... thunderbolt is still expensive isn't it.
