3x GTX980's is 100% the way to go...

That being said, you could pay almost half as much and get 3x GTX970's.

The GTX970 has better OC overhead, and slightly better SLI scaling.

At the end of the day you are going to see at most a 7% performance difference between 970's and 980's at 3 way SLI.

IMHO, I would go for 2 GTX970's as they will be able to drive most every game over 60fps at 1440p.

Ok I forgot what will do with this system. I will render high res photos, render high res videos also and fold with this system when I'm in school.

If its rendering and folding the titan should do a better job vs the 980 I think. Need someone to back me up on this doe.

I would suggest the Titans, but... buy two Titan Black cards instead of a single Titan Z. It should be cheaper and it should perform better when you plan to game.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Actually a single Titan Z costs roughly $1500, instead of $2100 for two Gtx Titan Blacks. Then I will get Ek blocks for either of the cards so add $150 for the titan z and add $300 for the titan blacks. So I think I'll get the titan z.

Since when is the Titan Z cheaper than two Titan Blacks O_O. Anyway, if that's the case, go ahead I guess.
