Hello, I'm hoping someone here can help answer some questions for me. I'm looking to buy three U2414H monitors and was wondering what people thought of them.

Have you used them before?

Do you think they would be good for gaming?

Are the screens matte or gloss? Any reflections or glare?

 

I've been researching monitors and I believe that this one will work but I have never bought a monitor before and wanted to make sure I got the right ones. Mostly I would be using them for gaming and a bit of movies. No Shooters or racing games, primarily mmos and rpgs.

 

My gpu is an R9 280x.

What games are you playing? I'm actually looking to buy one.

Your GPU could not handle surround gaming AFAIK

 

If by RPGs you mean Skyrim, etc; yes it would be great. It has amazing colors.

 

Hell my GPU can't do it (GTX 780). 

3*1080p is 3/4 as many pixels as 4K, basically to handle something like this you need a card like an r9 295x2 or an SLI set up.

GTX 980 might be good for it too.

Welcome to the forums!!!! These are very nice monitors, and i have heard they have good color depth, i'm thinking about getting one, and yes i believe they will be good for gaming. @Jerakl is right no way that little R9 280x is gonna be playing BF4 with surround!!!!

You should be able to handle less-demanding games (I'm talking games like Skyrim, WoW, etc; nothing like FC4) at that resolution with a 280x just fine, maybe not on high/ultra, but it'll work.

Yea I know stuff like BF4 won't work, I don't even own it. I think the most demanding game I have is Skyrim and that's still in the mail. I just built my pc about a month ago and haven't really had the chance to get new games for it, I only have what my 6 year old laptop could run lol.
