I was wondering what kind of chair you guys would recommend.  Is the open mesh background better or the leather chairs, all those things, what's your experience with chairs?

I sit on them, that's my only experience. Jking, try searching for a soft material to your butt, the chair doesnt have to be made out of leather. Also, try looking out for one that has good support for your back, and your neck.

One that is still somewhat hard on the bottom (not metal obviously) that way you don't sink all the way in.  A hard pillow feels better to sit on then one so soft you sink through it to the wooden bottom.  Linus did a review for a gaming/office chair.

I got a mesh chair last year and honestly wouldn't go back.You never sweat or stick to it  :lol: Just make sure you get a nice chair.. Dont buy those cheap $100 ones from walmart. You'll just be replacing them in a year or two from wear.  The ikea one linked above is pretty good .I know 3 other people that use one.

This topic also helped me. I was shoping for chair recently and there is ASKO store in my city. I got chair here for 75€ that was quite comfortable but after I bringed it home and assembled it was crooked to one side. The left side was 2cm higher than right side so I take it back and they replaced it for another one.. I got home and assembled it and once again it was crooked. So I returned it and then I got my money back.

Looks like I will be ordering Ikea Markus chair now. I watched some reviews and it seems to be very good chair for its price.

According to my research its Mesh chair with adjustable arm wrest, back, head and height, tilt is also good.

To meet ale the requirements for very comfy adjustable chair can cost ton of money.

Chair is very important and u dont want to go cheap on it, u investing in your health afterall as bad sitting posture can lead to problems later in life.

Im leaning toward DX racer style chairs as they look absolutely amazing and are adjustable but if i could affored a meshed chair that not only is fully adjustable but also looks good i would have to sell my organs... I saw one meshed chair for over 600 bucks...

Ikea's Markus is also very popular choice and pretty cheap.

In full disclosure, I didn't pay for it my sister won it at pax prime 2013 and i made her choose between her chair and the dxracer, since I had a garbage chair at the time and paid for her ticket and hotel stay at pax.  And drove her down there.  She chose the nice chair she already had.

 

Don't get me wrong.  It's a great chair.  It's real leather which doesn't get too hot or too cold, it's super comfortable for sitting straight legged, and it's great if you're tall.  I'm not tall, I basically always like to sit on one of my feet, and because I'm not tall I can't recline it very well.  If these aren't issues for you then it's great.
