Hey guys,

Whoever of you play World of Warcraft, can you tell me, when does a 30 day subscription activate? Once I pay or when I log in to the game?

Can i buy the game now, for those $5, and then start playing it from like 20th December (basically to "hold" my 30 days not counting down for like 20 days)?

I believe it is when you pay. Not 100% certain though since they have been changing lots of stuff.

If you buy the game for $5 it will be once you activate your account/pay. You can't delay when the subscription starts unless you buy a CD key from somewhere (probs not $5) and use it on the 20th.

It activates the moment the gametime is added, so when you pay.

Yes, UNLESS you buy the $5 package as a gift, in which case you get a CD key in your email that you can activate any time.

So WoW costs 5$ and you need to get the latests expansion ? you get everything before WoD ?

so you buy the £5 pack, you add it to your account.

 

The 30 will not start. it happened to me as well, bought it, activated it tried to play... no credit

 

But if you buy a subscription it will add +30 days to your account

No, it does activate but takes up to 48 hours. It's just a bug with starter accounts, you will be able to play and reach over level 20 though.

 

I've bought WoW about 6 times now and I have ALWAYS had 30 days credit immediately.

 

If you don't it could be your region I am not sure, but NA/Oceanic seem to get it like this.

The $5 gives you all expansions accept for WoD.

Sooooo. .... should I buy it? I don't have a PC right now and I will be building one around 20th Dec. Problem is that the game sale is not gonna be until then. I wanna play WoW till at least until New Year day (1st Jan).

Buy it as a gift, like Samfisher says. It works, I just used this for my lady friend
