Bandwidth monitor / limiter ?

Lately I've been cutting it close with my internet cap and using a lot of programs that stream like Spotify.

Be nice to know exactly how much bandwidth these programs are using and limit them when I need too.

Anyone know any good bandwidth monitors? I used to use "net limiter" worked great but costs now so if there's any other free solutions out there? or better ones?

thanks in advance if anyone has some ideas =)

Edit: Sorry I should mention only needs to run on windows 7

I haven't tried it out myself but here's a guide on lifehacker that shows you how to do it: http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2011/07/how-to-monitor-your-internet-usage-so-you-dont-exceed-your-data-cap/

I hope this works :)

export PS1='\[\033[1;30m\]┌╼ \[\033[1;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[1;30m\] ╾╼ \[\033[0;34m\]\w\[\033[0;36m\]\n\[\033[1;30m\]└╼ \[\033[1;37m\]'
