GT 9600 help

Hi.. I'm using a quad core system with 4.5 GB of DDR2 for playing COD 4 multyplayer. I had a HD 5670 card.but few days ago it didint work.So i bought used nvidia GT 9600 512 mb card.But I get only 128 mbs in system properties.(showing 512 mb in bios) And i saw now.It shows 8500 GT.

Is it actually an 8500 GT? Check the sticker on the card's PCB to be sure.

yeah. may be a software problem.i installed latesr drivers too.But in bios menu, it shows GT 9600 and 512 MB.

Was it, by any chance, an off-brand card? Knock-offs usually lie about their specs in the BIOS.

use GPU-Z ID

 

it will show the actual GPU model
