Well forgive me that LTT is the only source you use for basing your information, virtually every other source indicates the 970 outpaces the 780 and is closer in performance - but not often matching - the 780ti...

As I said. And as linus said. They overclock there cards then compare not give one card an overclock then compare to everything stock like everyone else in the world does.

You are completely right, you said it was faster than a 980. That makes so much more sense. "Never once seen a 780 beat a 980 overclocked, because the 970 beats the 980 overclocked."
