So I was wondering if I wanted to upgrade my RAM could I just by two new stick of the same kind as my present sticks and install them just like normal ( but in the two other slots ) and it work fine or would I have to get a whole new set of 4x(whatever)

if they are exactly the same it will work fine.

As long as your keyboard can take that much ram and you get the same sticks, you should be fine.
