The nexus 9...I having this feeling everyone will agree nothing else will come close.

I'm looking to replace my aging iPad 3 with a new tablet. Here are my criteria:

Screen: at least 1920x1080/1200, 9-13"

OS: Windows 8.1 or Android 4.4. Preferably Android, must get next version of OS (Lollipop/Win10)

Storage: at least 16GB with microSD, 32GB without microSD.

RAM: At least 2GB

Price: under $500

I'm looking at the Nexus 9, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, Sony Xperia Tablet 2 and Lenovo Yoga Tablet Pro 2 13. The tablet will be used for general purpose things like web browsing, Flipboard reading, Google Doc editing, etc with some HTML coding mixed in.

Nexus 9, I have owned a Windows tablet in the past and trust me it's a no go. There is litterally no apps to use...

Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

My price range is under $500. That hideous band-aid plastic backing, lack of an actual black color (so it literally looks like crap) and gaudy gold trim make it a no go.

(About the Tab S's backing) Can I just say, this is the worst feeling material in the world.

-I don't watch video/look at pictures very often. I'd say 85% of what's on my screen at any given time is white.
