Right around your budget: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/skB8zy

CPU: You don't really need an i7, but your budget is really accommodating for one. You could also settle for 4690k.

Cooler: Noctua FTW, but you could get an NZXT Kraken x61 if you feel like spending more money on a water cooler. Just make sure that your case has enough room for it, which the NZXT H440 does. Or if you want to spend less, CM Hyper 212 EVO.

Motherboard: Some people like pretty one, but in my opinion a functional one is perfectly fine. You'll not get any extra FPS by spending your budget here.

RAM: You don't really need 16GB, but your budget is pretty big.

SSD: great for OS, programs, a few games. 840 EVO is generally well regarded.

HDD: You don't want to have a small hard drive, you'll be storing most your files here.

GPU: GTX 980 is best GPU at the moment. The only thing that will hold back your FPS is bad PC ports. Other than that, you will have loads of horses.

Case: Just pick what ever you find pretty. ATX mid-towers and bigger.

PSU: You want some clean power for your components. Generally, you want a gold rating or better. EVGA has some really nice stuff considering the price. 750W in case you ever decide to SLI 980's.

OS: Win8 offer slightly better FPS on average, but you can go with Win7 if you don't like the start menu.

Monitor: Monitors are personal. It's difficult to say that one is objectively better than another. I prefer IPS over TN, because of better colour reproduction and I don't mind the slightly slower response times. I don't mind 1080p because I'm okay with 23 inch monitors. If you want a bigger one, you might want to go with 1440p (but higher resolution means less FPS).

Keyboard: Extremely personal. The general consensus is that mechanical switches are better and Cherry MX switches are the industry standard. Other than that, I just think that Corsair keyboards look nice.

umm thats pretty much as good as its going to get unless you change a few things for a sli/crossfire rig.   depends on the resolution,  and game optimization.   far cry 4 isnt very optimized....  still that system would plow you away!

remember it takes 2 seconds to google it yourself......

my rig (close anyway, couldnt find my qnix 1440p moniter or my msi z77 g45a matx mobo)   http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LzzqwP

Thanks man! you know what games this can run? fps

That is the best single GPU, so it will run all games. Most them will run at maximum setting with 60+ FPS, but that depends on the game optimization and we've seen a whole bunch of poorly optimized games lately, especially from Ubisoft.

Battlefield 4 and CS:GO will run at 60+. Farcry 4 will also mostly run at 60+ with a few occasional slow downs. Assassin's Creed Unity will not run at 60+ on maximum settings (not because the GPU is bad, but because the game poorly optimized).

I was trying to fit in a DDR4 system so that future upgrades might not be so bad for you (DDR3 use to be cheap now its crazy high for no reason, so you'd have DDR4 for future system upgrades incase it does the same thing), but alas, you needed too much stuff so here you go

One thing to note though is that I wouldn't recommend the OEM version of Windows as if you would need to change your motherboard for some reason, you're gonna run into Windows activation issues
