So I previously had 2x4gb ram that normally ran at 1600MHz. I had it set at 1333MHz for some reason don't ask. Anyway I just added another 4gb ram stick which is not identical to the origional two but made by the same company. This new ram stick is supposed to run at 1333MHz. So I thought it wouldn't hurt to set them to run at 1600MHz so I did, but according to CPU-Z they are only running at 802.7MHz.

Why?

I tried running bf4 and minecraft and planetside and a bunch of other games but it never went above 802.7MHz. Please help me!

Because DDR =Double Data Rate

800 x 2 = 1600MHz

DDR stands for Double Data Rate.

CPU-Z will display half of the RAM's clock speed.

In your case, your RAM is actually functional at 1600MHz.

For example, my RAM's clock speed is 1600 MHz also.

Look at the picture below.
