Used a MSI 7970 Lightning one before I upgraded to my current MSI 290X Lightning. 

My 7970 didnt overclock as well as i would have liked (silicon lottery), although my 290X overclocks like a beast!

It's a possibility probably get another 290x and 2 water blocks and make a custom loop!

I've gotten it close to 1300 mhz core and 1700 mhz memory on the "stock cooler"

Didn't even think of it when I wrote it but I'm glad it came out like that.

They are one of the best engineered video card you can buy. Just look below...

 They are rather pointless for most users unless you plan on pushing them hard.
