Will be using it only one to two days a week, simple workload of twenty something chrome tabs and mediashout. (Basically a slideshow programs with a library of thousands and thousands of songs, each about 5-15 slides each and some light media playback)

I'm just thinking,

A8 7600(I found a wicked deal.)

Mobo has hdmi vga and dvi outputs so we're covered when I beg for more screen real estate.

12 gigs 1600 ram.

128 gig SSD and whatever HDDs I find lying around here. Taking into consideration I have 30 TB used next to me, I coud, just format one all it is is archived footage and MP3 files.

Including windows I got the PCPP list under 700 dollars before promo codes and combos yaddahyaddah. And that's while I'm going overboard on storage and cooling.

1 this will likely be my first build in a while, also first time installing windows in absolute ages so... Ahh...

2 any issues? Not like it's a 24/7 server, but it does need to be reliable. The old people at my church get pissed fast. xD even though watching them hobble over to the audio booth and tell us what to do is kinda funny.

3 anyone else done builds like this, or with this purpose in mind? Church pcs?

Watch out for each other. Love everyone and forgive everyone, including yourself. Forgive your anger, forgive your guilt. Your shame. Your sadness. Embrace and open up your love, your joy, your truth, and most especially your heart.

I would go with 8 gigs of ram, you honestly could probably use 4. You will only need 12 if you have 20 tabs open while your playing a game and running a minecraft server, and maybe another thing or two in the background. Plus if you think you need more just throw another stick in there, no need to waste money right now.

I plan on swapping parts in and out with my next personal build, ontop of the fact that I found the a8 7600 for 20 bucks. xP

Really? Because we have 8 gigs in the current one and every time we check the ram usage it's pinned at 100%. :l

Mediashout for some reason just eats ram like nothing else....... Idk y.

Besides, this 12 gig set is 114 bucks, and I myself need some high speed ram too.

I want really looking for help, I was more looking to see if anyone else has done something like this before. And just kinda trying to start a thread where other people could post about.... Shitty pcs for church... Or whatever.

That.

That was the part I left at the end so that it was the freshest thing still in a writers mind as they wrote a response.

Also include windows and cost before discounts, just.... Yeah.

General rule of thumb, as not everyone can mail in their receipt or buy from certain people.

better fan customizeablility in the future for the cpu cooler, also shorter cooler, less possibility of interferring with the side fans.

The triple channel might not be compatible with that platform...

doesnt men i cant benefit from an extra stick of ram.

buy myself the same kit for my next build and have 16 gigs.

go ahead and say ''phuq et'' and go 16 gigs.

(we have a budget of 800 dollars. like... seriously.... yes we have some program liscences, but still)

another reason i wanted to go A8 7600. saw someone on PCPP go 12 gigs and a A8 7600 no problem.
