What card to get.

I am building a 4k setup and what gpu should I get? 290x or the 980 (both mom reference cards)? I will wanna crossfire or Sli. Only two cards.

My build is amd 8350, saber tooth mobo, 120gb ssd, 1tbssd, 4tb hard drive, 16 gb corsair Vengeance ram, 120w psu. Case is the corsiar 540 air.

980 or 2 980s in the future

Get 2 290s NON REFERENCE. They will outperform a single 980 in 4k and they are cheaper. Also, try to get an FX-9590.

Why get an FX-9590 when you can get an FX-8350 for less and overclock, since that is what FX 9590 is... an overclocked FX 8350...

I heard that the 290s are really loud and hot, so maybe the 980s would be safer

Also, why did you choose the FX-8350? if you have the money for two 290s or 980s, then you probably have the money for a i7 4790k, for example

Get 980 reference cards. They will run cooler in the 540 the open air coolers if you replace the crappy corsair fans.
