Which graphics card would be better for my build?

Hey guys,

Im putting together a build for 1600 AUD and am stuck on a decision about a graphics card. Which one would be better for my build?

The two graphics cards are the ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Strix DirectCU II 4GB and the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB

Which one would be better for my build?

Hands down Gigabyte G1. There's no debate, it's the best 970 to get. From the cooler to the actual GPU chip itself, everything about it is better then the STRIX, apart from the useless fans-turn-off feature, because the G1 will still be inaudible at low loads when it's in your case.

they are both good. g1 performs a tiny bit better, asus has 0fan mode. its whatever you prefer....

maybe you should go with asrock b85 motherboard since you have i5 4460, save a little more money and add an ssd. trust me a ssd is really good :)

i  use asrock b85pro 4, msi gtx 970 and i54460 :) got it 7 weeks ago its a really good build( i run acunity , bf4 and tomb raider on ultra, acunity is bugging out like every 30mins but its cause the game sux :) )

You have to decide, do you want silence while idleing, or slightly better performance. But in the end I think both are beefy cards so just take the better looking one/ cheaper one.

CPU: Xeon 1230v3 - GPU: GTX 770  - SSD: 120GB 840 Evo - HDD: WD Blue 1TB - RAM: Ballistix 8GB - Case: CM N400 - PSU: CX 600M - Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo

Update Plans: Mini ITX this bitch
