upgrade cpu poll

Go to solution Solved by godsarmy,

Thanks for all your guys input I ordered the rog impact vii and a 4970k and 16gb crucial tactical tracer red green, EK motherboard water block, and Green Mayham's coolant. Putting together that new cable order today!

g-sync chips are not powerful enough???

if not, seriously Nvidia...

It's not that gsync chips are not powerful enough, it's just the way gsync actually works. You have 144hz monitor and your game running at 144 fps, then gsync isn't actually doing anything.

Yes I bought it for gsync, what I was saying is that I'm was not trying to hit the 144 hz refresh rate limit it just dose.

I turned up the resolution scale to get the frame rate down and it still stutters once about every minute or so.

It's not running out of memory? (system, vram)

Yeah well, it should work now. Maybe it's some game flaw or specific setting that is causing too much burden on one of the resources. I'm not familiar with that game.

Ya I'm not sure. So far it's pointing to my cpu. my x79 build with a 690 is not having this problem,

Thanks for all your help man :)

But a 4790K will not change that fact. If you're lucky enough to get it to 4.8ghz, it's only going to be maybe 15% faster.

How about you test some other GPU-heavy games. I wouldn't base this on 1 title.

He's set on fixing this problem in this specific game... which isn't a cpu issue really

A 4790k only 15% faster than a 3570k? Give me one sec and I'll check to see if bf4 uses Hyperthreading,

You're confusing me. Why does your sig say i7-3820 @.4.8ghz then. A different machine?

I'm not having this problem on my other 2 builds. It's my first time using an i5, will have to see it turned out being the cpu or not, could be anything. I'm just going though trying to find the problem

I haven't changed my sig yet. That's one of my other builds. This one is not having the stutter problem.

I just ran it on my 3940xm with dual 680m's

@ 1440p

No stutter and about 65% on all 8 threads.

How is this relevant. You're throwing spaghetti at the wall here.

Test it on the system you have issues with, on another game.

So, I guess with videogames we have to stoop down to the "have you tried plugging it in and out again"-level. Because expecting it to be atleast capable of installing it's redistfiles is too much.
