I am upgrading from an AMD FX 6350 to an i5 4690K and plan to OC to about 4.0GHz whatever I can get without going over 65C and without over volting, because my CPU cooler is a fairly basic CM hyper T4.

In the past games like Far Cry 3 have worked well with my CPU but still stutter a lot but games like Skyrim I can't get 60FPS on ultra 1080p with even a damn 970.

What games are optimized much better for intel CPUs ? I would like to personally look at my own FPS differences and see if the upgrade was really worth it.

I don't think games are "optimized" for Intel per se, they just run better because Intel's architecture can process the code faster and more efficiently.

So by this theory every game will run better Or the same because the single cores are faster then multiple cores on the AMD so games like Far Cry 3 wont suffer performance from less cores ?

Yes, because pretty much every game in existence is only made to run at 4 cores at most.

Eh ish. Something's going to "bottleneck" you at some point (it's why it's such a nebulous word to use in terms of what CPU to use), whether it be your monitor's refresh rate, your CPU power or your GPU power. At some point you'll reach the stage where throwing more horsepower at a particular aspect of the problem won't have any effect and if you're already getting 60fps, or your GPU's running flat out and failing to deliver you won't notice a difference one way or the other.

There are also a handful of games that use the cores you can throw at it, so in these few examples a six core AMD FX might out-perform a faster dual core i3 or Pentium.

I don't see your point in this post but Okay, The issue I have is my current CPU is trash on most games Like I said I can't even get 60FPS skyrim ultra with a damn 970.
