is it worth the extra $50? I will be doing some very light video editing at 720p, but mostly gaming.

The 4670 is worth it it if you get the k version, it allows you to get a lot more performance out of it.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

It would perform better but personally I would not pay $50 more for  .2Ghz more.

Probably the 4460, only real difference between the 2 is clock speeds, so if you dont plan on overclocking go with a 4460

Why not get a g3258 with a z97 and upgrade to broadwell down the line if you want to overclock

i would think that a g3258 would beat out an fx 4130

it really depends on the workload but most of the time it won't.

OP the i5-4460 is a great CPU for both gaming and editing/rendering...the extra clockspeed of the 4670 is not worth 50$..maybe 20$ tops.

The i5-4460 is a massive upgrade from what you have right now...i've heard the i5-4590 maybe worth the cost in some places you should check on that if the 4590 would be like 10 or 15$ more than the 4460 it would be worth it. (300mhz faster turbo)

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |

| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 3 VR

I'd say they are neck and neck

the i5-4590 is 100mhz faster on the base clock yes but the most important is that it boost 300mhz more to 3.7ghz ;)

yes go with that and any H97 motherboard you like.
