Crossfire 290 now, later, or nah

I've got one 290 and I'd like to crossfire it. Should I look for one on sale this fall/winter or, should I wait till the 300 series drops and try and get one on sale for cheap then?

I'd wait for the 300 series. THEN upgrade.

what resolution do you play, at 1080p a single one is overkill already... 1440p its alright, but when you move to triple 1080p or triple 1440p then a second card is nessecary

I currently have a 1440x900 monitor from 2005 (I know... ) but, I'm going to get a 1440p/4k monitor in the coming months. What's a reasonable price for both a new sealed in box card and a used card?

 

EDIT: I play FPS games like BF4, and will be doing some Solidworks this spring for engineering in college.

Found this on ebay, it's a brand new 290 that matches my current 290... I feel like giving him a low offer to see if he bites

go for cfx if you can. you need a 850+w psu and good air flow case for cfx. you can check my old and new build.
