Adding RAM need a little help

Currently have 2 sets of duel channel RAM slots on my Motherboard.

Current RAM installed: 2x4 Gb 1600

RAM looking to add: 2x 8gb 1866

Was wondering with all 4 sticks installed if this ram would work together or do i need to follow the rules of only install the exact same ram together

They should work but you will only be able to use all the ram at 1600 and the lowest latency.

so at 1600 and 9? where do i go to set it to that, in the bios i assume
