8 pin connector?

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

It says on the box "4 x 8 (6 + 2)-pin PCI-E" Does that mean anything?

Yes, you have four 8 pin connectors (or four 6 pins). You can either use those cables as 6+2 pin (8) or just 6 pin and leave the +2 pins dangling.

My current GPU has a two six pin connectors, but my new 970 has one 8 pin, and one 6 six pin. Does my PSU have this?

Check user's profile. Antec 750W (80+Bronze)

Thats still not particularly helpful as there are multiple 750w bronze units.

@meritmaster, if it's one of the ones currently on the market, then yes.

Yup, your powersupply has four 6+2 pci-e connectors. (Assuming your powersupply is a Antec HCG M HCG-750M).

It says on the box "4 x 8 (6 + 2)-pin PCI-E" Does that mean anything?
