Custom build laptops

Custom desktops aren't anything new, but custom built laptops are fairly new in the market. There is a company in the UK called pcspecialist that can build you a desktop PC, a laptop, an all-in-one, basically anything you want.

I was surprised by how many options are there, when configuring a pc, specifically a laptop. Components depend on which chassis you choose, but basically you can choose the display type (resolution, panel type), a processor, RAM, graphics card, storage (hard drives SSDs)...

My personal favourite is The 15.6" Defiance, because of its compact size and great components options.

Custom laptops aren't exactly "new". Metabox, Origin-pc, heck even alienware have had customisable laptops since forever now. 

But I will admit, the range that the brand you showed have a huge range of products.

The 15" defiance by pc specialist has the cpu and gpu soldered down. The 15" vortex does not and has mum gpu which can be replaced/updated and it has 6 gb vram compared to only 3gb vram of the defiance 970.

you are right, but they are fat as f*ck. i chose this chassis, because i wanted something slim and compact (No, I don't want a Macbook)

sorry, i wasn't aware custom laptops existed until recently, but you have to admit there are a lot more options than before
