Connnection issue with friend

So me and my m8 play a lot of coop games and we keep getting kicked from eachothers lobbys but it only happens with us he can play with someone else fine and so can i but when we play together these issues occour. Has anyone else had this or know how to fix it?

How are you connected? I'm assuming not LAN?

Which game?

Fibre broadband wired to pc, any game its not relivent we will be playing and lose connection to the game and skype at the same time but we both are still online. Ive tried nothing i dont know what to do

Have you looked at opening the relevant ports in your router/firewall and doing the same at his end? Most likely a NAT issue.

Find the brand and model of your router, it's usually printed on the back or underside of it. Then go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ and follow the instructions, simple as that. 

If the game you are playing is not listed on there, I suggest a quick trip to google, it should have all the relevant information.
