Nope :) That all looks perfectly balanced to me. You could go with a cheaper motherboard if you need to save money but make sure you stick with the Z97 chipset so you are able to overclock your processor :D

No mobo is overkill unless you need absolutely nothing.

 

Though the SOC Force or something from Gigabyte was pretty extreme, yeah.
