I saw a 120GB PNY Optima SSD on Best Buy for 50 bucks. On Black Friday.

I heard PNY's Optima series had their flash changed just like the Kingston V300, so I'd rule that SSD out.

I personally have an MX100 and it's a great SSD. Though I haven't used an 840 EVO, I've heard it's also a great choice.

Ive had an Evo in my PC for a few months now with no complaints. This morning I put an MX100 in my work PC, so far so good lol.

@Fate They had to change out their controller. It probably improved the drive but after the Kingston fiasco nobody listened or cared. Any change was bad.

Even so, I'd still go with the MX100 as a choice.

So I went with a 250gb Samsung 840 Evo. The thing is really fast and I'm getting the firmware update too. Also, disappointing thing is that I'm at like 150 GB left now with Windows installed, Steam, 3 games, Origin and Windows updates and motherboard installation CD. They fill up fast!
