Fan Controller question, HELP!

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

Will the 10w one be enough to push my fans to their full potential if they need to be? And also if i push too many watts to my fans, can something be damaged?

0.1A means voltage times 0.1 will be wattage. At 7V fan will draw 0.7W, at 12V it will draw 1.2W.

10W will be enough to run 8 of them at 12V.

Watts only means how much power the fan will consume when running, you can't "push too many watts" to a fan.

The fans i plan on getting are the corsair af120 quiet edition fans that say have an operating voltage between 7v-12v and power draw of .1A

I plan on getting a fan controller, one can push 10w and another can push 30w.

Will the 10w one be enough to push my fans to their full potential if they need to be? And also if i push too many watts to my fans, can something be damaged?

90% of fan controllers should work with most of these popular fans.

What controller is it?

What he said ^^^

If you use more than those 8 fans you will overheat and probably damage your fan controller.
